Climbing
Norfolk might be the flattest county but there’s no reason why you can’t climb at Sportspark. Come and try your hand at ‘The Peak’ – the largest indoor climbing wall in Norfolk with a Bouldering Cave, overhang and routes to challenge all levels of ability.
Climbing Taster Session
The next taster session is on the 11th May - Juniors (8+) 13:00-14:30, Adults (16+) 14:30-16:00. Taster sessions provide 90 minutes of expert guidance in a small group. Just £11.50 for Members and £14.50 for Non-Members. Visit our courses page for more information
Registration
Climbers (18+) must obtain a registration card before using the wall. These cost £10.00. Cards will be issued whilst you wait. One guest may be signed in per registered climber (18+ only). Download the Climbing Registration Form.
Climbers aged 16 and 17 are required to undergo a short assessment before registering. Please contact Craig Edwards by emailing craig.edwards@uea.ac.uk for more information.
Please note, top ropes are provided but climbers must bring their own lead ropes. No equipment is available for hire – please bring your own harnesses and shoes.

Junior Climbing Club – Saturdays 09:00-12:00
The Junior Climbing Club gives any child under 16 who has completed two Sportspark climbing courses the chance to climb. During this time the wall is exclusively for Members of the Junior Climbing Club.
There is an annual fee to join the club of £5.00. A fully qualified instructor is there to give Members expert tips and challenges. Each session is 90 minutes long (09:00-10:30 or 10:30-12:00). The cost is £5.00 per session.
Group Bookings
Looking for an unusual activity for your group, office or with friends? You can book a group (maximum number of eight) for a climbing session (120 minutes) with a qualified climbing instructor and equipment. Please note, some time restrictions apply to private bookings. Climbing Parties
Sportspark’s climbing wall is also used for children’s birthday parties. Climbing parties are suitable for children over 8 years old for a maximum of 8 children. For more details visit the Children’s Parties page.
