You could welcome the Olympic Torch into Norwich this summer!
February 8th, 2012
Young people in Norfolk have a unique performance opportunity to join in with The Pulse, an exciting new show to welcome the Olympic Torch to Norwich in July, and you could be part of it!
The Garage and Norwich and Norfolk Community Arts (NORCA) have been commissioned by Norwich City Council to produce a stunning new stage show. The Pulse will bring together percussion musicians with people from physical disciplines to create a wonderful showcase of Norfolk talent. The Pulse team are looking for 15 people with skills in sport, dance, martial arts, circus, gymnastics, parkour or skating as well as musicians.
Norfolk born dancer Aaron Sillis, one of the country’s brightest young dancers and choreographers, will be the Artistic Director of the project and is running master classes for 11-25 year olds at four venues across the city this month, including the Sportspark. The master class will be held from 10am until 4pm on Friday 17 February.
The classes are FREE but places are limited. After the master classes, there will be open auditions and a boot camp in March to select the final performers.
You can pick up an application form in the Sportspark reception or download one here..
