Our Inclusive Club

Our Inclusive Sports Club runs every Wednesday between 11:40 until 13:00 and welcomes disabled groups, disabled individuals (16+) and their carers.

Offering a range of different sporting activities including football, hockey, tennis, circuit training, athletics and more.

Wherever possible, carers are encouraged to participate in all of the activities. Family members/carers will be responsible for supporting participants with any activity. The club costs just £1.50 for customers and is free of charge to carers. Participants are advised to book with Sportspark before the date to avoid disappoinemt.

Climbing For All

Climbing for all sessions aim to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for anyone and everyone to sign up and enjoy a climb!

‘Climbing for all’ sessions will run biweekly, lasting 60 minutes in duration, being led by qualified climbing wall instructors. These sessions are the perfect way to build new friendships, try something new and challenge yourself. Our climbing instructors will support and guide you, developing your ability session on session in your pursuit of ascending our wall!

Research has found rock climbing to benefit individuals physically, developing strength and coordination, as well as benefiting participants mentally, relieving stress and reducing anxiety.

What time are Climbing For All sessions?

Our ‘climbing for all’ sessions will be split into adult and junior sessions.

Adult sessions – participants aged 16+

Will take place 15:00-16:00 starting  Tuesday 19th November 2024, biweekly from this session.

Junior sessions –  participants aged 8-15

Will take place 16:00-17:00 starting Tuesday 19th November 2024, biweekly from this session.

 

Cost and booking Climbing For All

Each session is £4.50 per participant. These sessions can be booked at reception on arrival, or to guarantee your spaces you can call our reception team on 01603 592398 and make payment for your space(s) via telephone.

Inclusive Cycling Sessions

We only offer outdoor cycle sessions.

On each day the available time will be split into 2 x 45 minute sessions as listed below where 10 cyclists together with a family member or carer will be able to bring their own or borrow the adaptive bikes and enjoy a session.

By using specially adapted cycles, the activities are both physically and mentally stimulating and above all fun. Inclusive cycling sessions are held at the Sportspark track providing a safe environment for our athletes to hone their cycling skills. There will be opportunities to take part in skill and speed training if cyclists are eager to progress to competition or just improve their skills.

Cyclists will have to book in with Sportspark before the date due to the sessions being very popular.

Sportspark volunteers will be on hand issuing the bikes and helmets, giving instructions to the cyclists.

Family members/carers will be responsible for the cyclists, including getting them on and off bikes, escorting them etc.

Gymnastics SEND Sessions

This class is for children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) and their siblings. One parent/guardian/carer supervising one child is recommended but we will allow two children to one parent. This 45 minute session is a chance for them to come into the gym, explore and play on all the gymnastics equipment with their parent. Every week there will be a different themed set up for them to enjoy. Parents will be fully in charge of their child throughout the session but there is 2 qualified coaches on hand to offer any advice. No music will be played during the session.

Walking – 9 years run on Tuesday 14:00 – 14:45.

8 – 15 years run on Wednesday 14:00 – 14:45

Cost: £4.40 per session.

Climbing

JUNIORS – Fortnightly Sundays 13:00-14:00 beginning on June 9th. Led by 2 qualified instructors, children aged 8-16.

ADULTS – Fortnightly Tuesdays 12:00-13:00 beginning on June 4th. Led by 2 qualified instructors, adults 16+.

Dance Fitness

45 minute exercise-to-music class. It is gentle, effective and uplifting. The routines are low impact, easy to follow anddesigned to improve balance, coordination, joint mobility and posture.

Norfolk Hoopstars – Hoopz Basketball – Hoopz Basketball sessions, supported by Basketball England & Access Sport promotes basketball for all. These sessions are open to all disabled children and their families, providing greater opportunities for everyone to play basketball!

Parkinson's UK Exercise Group

This group is held at Sportspark every Monday from 2:15pm to 3:15pm and led by Pearl Cooper. The cost per session is £3 per person. Please report and hand your £3 fee to the volunteer in the Sportscafé, prior to attending the exercise session so we have a full attendance record.

This is an enjoyable, mainly seated, exercise -to-music session for people with Parkinson’s. Carers are welcome to attend*.

*For any new attendee who is accompanied by a carer we ask that the carer remain with the attendee for the initial 2 sessions. This allows Pearl to liaise with the carer, if necessary, following her initial assessment.
